 Born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. and raised in the infamous New Orleans neighborhood of Hollygrove, he was a straight-A student but never felt his true intelligence was expressed through any kind of report card. He found music was the best way to express himself, and after taking the name Gangsta D he began writing rhymes. Combining a strong work ethic with aggressive self-promotion, the 11-year-old convinced the Cash Money label to take him on, even if it was just of odd jobs around the office.

A year later, in-house producer Mannie Fresh partnered him with the 14-year-old B.G. and dubbed the duo the B.G.’z. Although only B.G.’s name appeared on the cover, the 1995 album True Story has since been accepted as the B.G.’z debut album both by fans and the Cash Money label. The 1997 album Chopper City was supposed to be the follow-up, but when Wayne accidentally shot himself in the chest with a .44, it became a solo B.G. release. Lil wayne is the most well known rapper to this day and im sure has many more big hits to accomplish in his lifetime befor he calls quits .

Music for the brain.

Music can be inspiring to the people in the world, if you listen to most lyrics they tell you about the artists lifes. Music is everywhere, and it can be made and enjoyed by anyone, any animal, and any living thing, in its own way. The universe itself has a sense of rhythm, melody and music.

Everyday speech has a lilt that can be called some kind of music. In nature, without the white noise of civilization in the background, the sounds of the trees, the water, and the air can all be called music. And animals, birds in particular, have their own sense of melody in the sounds that they make and use to communicate with each other.

Music comes in so many various forms that it reflects, in a way, the diversity of the languages spoken and written on the planet. Whether it be classical music, pop, gospel, music, country music or whatever pleases the ear, there will always be a kind of music for everyone and it can come in any language.

Music brings people together. It is understood that before modern technology, live music was a natural form of entertainment, and people were considered accomplished when they learned to play instruments.
Music is an art and a science. Anyone who learns any bit of musical theory will know that music has a particular structure, while still allowing for creative freedom. Reading music and playing an instrument causes the musician to use both sides of his brain at once – the mathematical side, and the artistic side.

Music in school !

The influence of music on rates of learning has been the subject of study for many years. Common sense tells us, and research has confirmed, that loud, cacophonous background noise impedes learning, concentration, and information acquisition. However, some amount of background music may in fact be helpful in the learning process, both in a structured school setting and under self-directed homework conditions. Several questions arise from this assumption, then.

First, how much music is appropriate? Second, will any music do, or are some genres (e.g., rock vs. classical) and types (e.g., vocal vs. instrumental, fast- vs. slow-paced) more helpful and others, in fact, deleterious? Further, are students at all grade levels affected in the same way by different types of music, or do the effects of music change over time, depending on individuals’ exposure to various music types and other factors?

Music can help energize and make me wanna finish my work.When I listen to music while working it focuses me. I think i pods and music players should be allowed in school.

Music is an important part of the world . Without music in society , I think that there would be a missing piece to the world . Music can inlfuence everyday life in many ways . Success in society , of course , is predicated on success in school .

Any music teacher or parent of a music student can call to mind anecdotes about effectiveness of music study in helping children become better students . Skills learned through the discipline of music , these stories commonly point out , transfer to study skills , communication skills , and cognitive skills useful in every part of the curriculum .

Another common variety of story emphasizes the way that the discipline of music study - particularly through participation in ensembles - helps students learn to work effectively in the school environment without resorting to violent or inappropriate behavior . And there are a number of hard facts that we can report about the ways that music study is correlated with success in school .

It has long been said that participating in music increases academic achievement in other areas. Anecdotal evidence of this ideas has been touted by dozens of officials, even by President Bush. True research based evidence of this positive effect has been less prevalent, leading to what some consider a lack of true music advocacy in our public schools. Schools in which music, despite the perceived benefits, continues to be considered a non-essential subject .

Music in school .

Music in school should be allowed because in my opinion it helps you  concentrate on my work , instead of my friends . Music helps me vibe to the work that is needed to be done , so I can groove to my music while im getting my work done . I also think that it shouldn’t be a rule that you cant if your in 11^th and 12^th grade cause most of the upper classmen are 17 and older , therefor  we should be allowed to have our music  .

Music keeps me focused on what ever task is assigned to me . Certain music just makes me wanna get up and do what I gotta do . It should be a privalige for upper classmen to be able to listen to music . I think that if we were to try it and see what happens , you would see that people can do there work while listening to music . Im sure most teachers would be like “ Oh no , no music cause then students wont pay any attention to the task at hand “ when in all actuality once the teacher is done talkin and we know what we have to get done , we will put our music in our ears and start the work .

Im blogging about bein allowed to have music in school , but not only that ; is school has a lot of rules that you have to obide by and if not there are consequences .  Which I agree with most things not bein allowed in school because they are trying to show us responsibility and following rules , But I don’t think that they should have a rule about music because that helps motivate me in my opinion .
